90 b18a into 90 crx dx...a few questions
i will be going to remove the full b18a from my friends 90 teg on tuesday.
first off whats the easiest way to remove the full motor?
i will be taking the block, head, tranny, intake manifold, distributor...what else. i will take his ECU as well, anything else i need to cleanly swap this into my crx dx?
now i will be splicing this motor into my existing dx harness so i will leave a decent amount of length on any wires like the distributor wires and anything that is plugged into the intake manifold or sensors. will this be hard to wire up or not?
i plan on buying some ebay mounts, do i need axels or will mine be okay?
will the shift linkage from the b18 fit into the crx or will i have to buy new linkage?
thanks in advance

i think u need to use the tegs axles
u need to cut and weld the shift linkage to make it fit...
easiest way to remove a motor is with the engine hoist
might as well take his harness as well

ok thanks a bunch. i will have access to a hydro engine lift so i guess i'll just unbolt the motor mounts and tranny mounts and pull it out.
unless ur battery has already been relocated to the trunk unbolt the tray that holds the battery in ur engine compartment or else its gonna be in the way
im not sure about the location of the battery on DA integras but i know that the battery tray on the crx will get in the way...u only need to remove it temporarily while ur dropping the motor in...u can keep the battery in the engine compartment
Just a tip spay every bolt that u are gonna take off with pb blaster before u start pulling the motor. Yes you need the teg axles, and you will need to wire your dx harness to run 4 injectors (dpfi to mpfi). You will wanna take the harness too you cant really use it but its nice to have the extra plugs. You can use the brakes and other stuff too. I just did the same thing 2 months ago. Pullin the motor out of the teg is the hardest part of the whole swap.

$160 - The DPFI to MPFI conversion is what you need (Dx to Si)

You can use 90-93 teg axles, but they will be a TIGHT fit and probably won't work as is. You must purchase the driver-side axle from a 88-89 Integra. Take the axle cup off of one of the 90 teg axles and put it on the 88 teg axle. Then you'll have a 90 teg pass axle and a hybrid drivers side axle.
Some people say remove the dust ring, but that don't gain you much.

Oh yeah, I think you'll need SI or EX knuckles as well. I think you can use the teg's knuckles, if you are stripping the car completly. Then again, maybe you can use your DX knuckles...
