Tranny and axel Q’s???

all 88-91 CRX/Civic axles are the same on thetransmission end, so yes your HF axles will fit the Si transmission - the CRX HF and Civic STD axles are smaller at the hub end, but transmission end is the same as DX, Si, EX, LX , etc.

yup... hf is a 23 spline hub, along with all std's and most dx models. if youre gonna swap the tranny just use your hf axles... if you plan on puttin any amount of power to the ground later then you will need to change over to a 5 spd dx or si model hub, which has 26 splines. hope this helps!
oh eah, try to make sure if your car is 89 or newer that you get an 89 or newer tranny.;
88 trannies have diff. spline count on the input shaft than the 89-up trannies
