Is your DA/DC venting hot air through the ac? =\
Ahhh man, i was just driving, suddenly a load of hot air is venting throughout my a/c vents...
Should this be a problem? My temp needle was moving towards the redzone... sooooooo i think this should be something that I should keep my eye on...

From: Good luck to this industry, you're gonna need it.
I haven't gotten that gust of hot air...but I noticed since I swapped my motor, it's fairly warm at my feet...I wonder if I'm just paranoid or if there is something I'm not noticing...my temp gauge is fine though.
good luck man...
check and make sure your fan is coming on...as far as overheating...mine just decided that it didn't want to work anymore.

mines doing the same thing..would like to know more..
i think it might be the headers which release all the heat, and the fan sucks it up..
i dont know..just my guess..

another thing to try if ur fans aren't kicking on- swap your cooling fan relay and your heating fan relay in the fuse box under the hood. if you're fans kick on after u hook up the opposite relay, u know u burnt one out. to replace is only $40 bux at acura, so my mechanic tells me

If you're in a jam, turn your A/C on. it should power the fans. If it doesn't.. crrrr-a-p.. My friend had the same problem with his DC2. Out of nowhere the temps started rising, found out his thermostat was faulty.
My 98 DB8 does that too..... Then i put my climate control to cold and it seems that kinda helps. The air isnt as hot... More info would be great.
Yep..hopfeully thats the problem. Besides, that controls the coolant flow when tempurate changes. it opens up, releasing coolant to cool in the radiator and circulate once its warmed up to the right tempurature. Now's your chance to upgrade to a lower tempurature changing thermostat like Mugen! ahah, but you'd have to change a couple of other stuff. Hopefully my advice helped you out, if not, sorry man.. i tried.

yeah it should. check to make sure both radiator hoses gets warm. if the bottom one doesn't, then you need to change your thermostat

Well that's why I came to HT for... if I needed help, hopefully I can expect it here you know, and not get knockoff responses like, "have you ever tried searching!?" then they leave a shitty response with it. But really thanks a lot you guys.
So far, I got the temperature sensor and the thermostat to be checking. Thanks guys!
But also, if anything, can i still be able to drive my car for the meantime? or no? Woud you guys suggest it? Or just wait til I get those things changed, THEN drive it?

If I did get the Mugen themo, what things would I have to change?

it might be as simple as needing o recharge your air conditioning as well as changing the thermostat... the thermostat is made to stay open though, so have you changed your radiator fluid lately? that can cause it... or even checked it? the water and/ or antifreeze might be low, and need to be refilled... check the cheap stuff before you get to the expensive stuff... it is usually the best way to start.
first check your coolant level......
you can install a fan controller that runs on an independent probe, its from autozone for $20, easy to install, took me about 20 min, just adjust what temp you want your fans on and your done!

Is there a certain specific place to install the probe you're talking about?
Well, I plan on doing a radiator flush next paycheck. For the meanwhile, she's just gonna have to sit on the parking places for awhile.
So but yeah, I'll follow up with checking the coolant etc etc.

Well, basically couple days ago, I was driving and I noticed that hot air was coming out the vents of my a/c... and the a/c's off & I put the climate control to the colder side. Didn't work. Next thing I knew, the temp. needle started to rise, but when I would run the DA a little harder than daily driving, it'd set back to normal, but it would eventually fluctuate. Since then, that's all it's been doing. Hot air is coming thru the vents and my needle keeps moving like the needle on a weight scale.

you can put the probe by the radiator, then you adjust the unit to turn on/off with a ****, very simple install

Very important question for me for the meantime, is my DA still drivable? Should I worry about anything falling/breaking/malfunctioning on me?

bump b/c i need to know.
bump b/c i need to know.
Man its cause it so **** humid and hot lately aad my **** is doing the same thing, but only on long drives and then when im stationary the needle goes up, and my car is drinking up coolant.

i could careless andy more, im tired of the car

Dont forget to check your water valve.
Everyone has suggested thermostat and all that, but they are forgeting the main componet to the system that regulates coolant flow to the cabin.
This valve is controlled by your heater control cable thats on the back of your climate control unit.
When the cable pulls it closed with the A/C is on, It completely blocks hot coolant from coming into the cabin to the heater core. If your valve is sticking partway open or not closing at all the you fill feel allot of hot air coming out your vents as described.
You say your feeling hot air out of your vents- the vents are piped right into the evaporator assembly which houses the heater core and the evaporator(ac) So other theories of heat from the engine coming in and thru those vents is unlikely.
So reguardless if your engine is overheating or not, If that valve was working properly, Heat would not be coming inside through the lines.
Once you understand How the system works, you can properly repair it.
