climate control fan only works in positions 3,4
i searched under "fan and climate control"
nothing came up but i'm sure it's under some other word.
my crx climate control ONLY works on 3 or 4, 1 and 2 don't do
anything when i choose them. other than that, heat, cold all works well
including the positioning of the air ( feet, regular, etc..)
anyone else have this problem? do i just replace the entire climate
control? or is there something i can check first. thanks
edit: it's a 91

Just like coot_er said. Your resistors are broken.
Fan works like this. 1st position has the biggest resistor so it spins slowly, 2nd position has little lighter resistor, so a little more power can go thru it. And so the fan spins a little faster again. 3rd position has again, little lesser (correct!) resistant and the fan almost spins full speed. The 4th position doesent have resistant at all, so the fan spins at full speed and power. (Thatswhy usually the 4th always works)
Now you know guys know a little more

I had that problem for a while with settings 1 and 3 (2 years of it), but considering that I don't have A/C it never bothered me in the summer as I never turned the fan on (it would blow 105 degree air, not very comforting IN the car). In the winter I only used setting 2 for the heater, and only in the footwells, so it never made a difference. The big deal came when the entire switch froze in place (due to dust and debris from my crumbling dash), and when I man-handled it to get it loose it broke the plastic mounts. OUCH. I bought an entire climate control unit off Ebay for $10 as a replacement. All the fan settings work now, and I haven't looked back.
to Ebay for selling random ****

received the part, was kinda worried since some of the glue like stuff was cracked in several places, i thought it would have to be connected to work, put it in, and it works fine now, woot
