Default too lean

What would be the reason for a stock d16 (with a short ram intake) be running too lean? threw a trouble code for low current to the O2 sensor, and then after that was cleared threw one for being too lean, need to pass emmisions, sum1 help!

96-up Civic isn't it?

I'll bet it's your valve adjustment, or lack thereof.

How many miles? Have you ever had the valves adjusted? I see "system too rich" or "system too lean" on OBD2 Civics with valves out of spec.

Either the valves are overdue for an adjustment, or perhaps someone just did them and did them wrong - I've seen both cases.

Unfortunately with OBD2 Civics this **** happens all the time. they throw bullshit check engine codes that are VERY vague in theor descriptions, and you're left trying tp fix it with little direction.

Get me the exact code number and I'll look it up on my All-Data here at my shop.

Cool let me know.

Since you're a Trial User your posts per day are limited, so instead of wasting one of your posts, simply edit the above post with the code number.
