iight i a a jdm b16a and i live in chicago, and im affriad that i wont pass the emissions test, is there anyway that i can cheat and pass or are the emissions not so strict in chi town? help me out

 

i duno about the smog regulations in illinois. do they just do sniffer, or is there visual inspection?

if its just sniffer, you should be fine, a bit high on emissions, but should probably pass. if you have a problem with smog, just find someone who has a swapped motor, and ask him where to find a shady smog place. pay em off. ya know

 

I used a mechanical waiver here in Ohio a couple of years ago. Find a shop that will make an invoice for you.

what car is the jdm b16 in and what ecu are you running need to know the full setup to know how to make it passable !

if you have the b16 ecu out of a del sol usdm model you would pass with all emissions equiptment hooked up

 

th b16 is in a 96 civic HB dx and the motor is a 96-97 jdm b16a3 del sol
