slow teg
I own 2 integras. Unfortunately, they're both automatics. One is a 95LS and the other is a 94RS. They both recently (within half a yr) had a full tune up done, and the 95LS had the tranny fluid replaced 1.5 yrs ago. The 95LS gets about 35-37mpg and the 94RS gets about 32-35mpg.
However, the 94RS is noticeably slower than the 95LS. I dunno why, but it lags when I lead foot it off a stop light compared to the 95LS. The tires on the car have maybe 60% all around while the 95LS has new tires front and 60% back. The 94RS also hangs for a bit at 3-3.5k rpm before shifting to 2nd.
Any idea why my 94RS is so slow? I did a full break job on the car, so I know the calipers or e-brake aren't seized. No CELs or anything.
Any input would be helpful!

I would pull the valve cover off and check to make sure the cams on the RS are lined up perfectly when the white mark on the crank is at the pointer. Also pull the plugs and check their condition, sometimes you can tell if one cylinder is not firing properly due to the junk on the electrodes. If you have the original cat conv., it could be blocking exhaust flow also if it is on its way out.
If this doesn't help, try a compression test.

cams look fine, i had the valve cover off when i was working on it earlier today. spark plugs all look uniform, slightly brown... i just replaced them all about a month ago... the muffler is in pretty bad shape... one layer the outside covering already rusted through, but it still has another layer. I'm prolly gonna need a new muffler soon anyway.
is the timing set exactly the same on both cars? its about all I could think of besides... <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ecks_fourttwo »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i suggest you sell both of the cars and get yourself a gsr... </TD></TR></TABLE>
