To remind you to change your oil?

It's a light that goes on based upon milage to remind you to do regular maintenance. Just reset it, as outlined in your manual.

EDIT:

Wait... is this a maintenance light on a 94? Are you sure it's not a CEL? I thought the only cars with maint lights were the 7th gens, and the 6th gens have a little colored 'wheel' thing on the odo. I don't remember my Mom's 5th gen with any type of maint light.

oh, its just driven off of the mileage of the odometer and tells you its time to change your oil or do scheduled maintenence. someone with a GSR should be able to tell you how to reset it, its normally pretty easy. your CEL should only come on if the ECU is throwing an error.

the maint light is driven by the maintance reminder unit.
6000-7500 miles it will turn on for 2 seconds after the ignition is turned on.
after 7500 it will stay on.
you have to have the car parked with the ignition on, then hold the reset button down for more than three seconds. the light will then turn off and the unit will reset it's mileage counter. unplug it if it bothers you.

Oh, that's different then. Go by my initial post then. It comes on based upon milage, and just needs to be reset.

did you do a dash swap or just the cluster?

if you did just the cluster it could be anywhere.
the dash - someone with a teg needs to help with this one...
