Roll Bar?
autopower roll bar, doesn't work a TON for protection, but great for a little something and allows you to use harnesses if you want.

Just know that it is easier to crack your head open on a roll bar. If you have no reason to put a roll bar in I would leave it out of the car. Autopower is good too.

i dont have a problem with cars with a roll bar at all. if the bar stays behind the driver, theres not much reason to worry. i think theres a lot of benefit in safety of a rollbar. and it is the only proper way to mount a harness and use a race seat.
i DO have a problem with a rollcage, which has forward positioned bars inches from the head. theres no reason to have a full 6 point rollcage on a street car.

I had the 6 point bolt in cage from autopower and It was fine, just anoying to get in and out of, so I just boltedin the back half and it works just fine. I have the 5-point and the 3-point. But the cage is nice and fit well. I know there is no point to having a cage on my low CRX but it was free and I was bored

It goes to the part where your struts for the hatch mount to the body of the car.

You probably wouldn't bolt to the c-pillar bar, you would use a wrap around style belt. I realize this might seem like a cheap alternative to you, but seriously, spend a couple bills and just get a roll bar, it IS safer and more practical. If you don't want to go through the hassle of a roll-bar, don't go through the hassle of harnesses.
Agreed that the full cage is just asking to get your head cracked open wide. that is, of course, unless you plan to daily drive with a helmet on. (Highly unlikely) Roll bar is ok for street use, and it's the ONLY way to properly use a harness.
Please do not attach your harness to your rear strut bar, c-pillar bar or any other misc. bar back there.
From what I remember, the 3-point systems are not street legal. I think the only street legal harness is the Schroth Rally Cross
