No fast Supras that I know of, in Louisiana that is. The only one I've seen was running high 11s back in 2004.

Guys, I wouldn't worry about the out of state Supras. In the last two years the winners at these S. Louisiana events were Son Hoang 11.1 @ 129 mph (IFO 2005 winner) and Alex Jimenez 11.1 @ 134 mph (IFO 2004 winner). The fastest at IFO 2005 was Robbie Poupart 10.41 @ 133 mph, fastest in 2004 and I think 2003 was Alex. Hondas have been the fastest cars at every Louisiana event since 2001. Hopefully at this event too Let's get a full Quick 16

Is this still going on as planned or has the hurricane situation put it off?

It's on. The New Orleans area is really the only place that is in chaos right now. The track is 40 miles north of N.O. and it did not suffer any damage.

Out of state racers, please come out to support this event. NPR and the rest of the import scene/racing commerce in LA could really use the support. I talked to the track the other day and it seems monthly payments on a $6 million facility are hard to make when no one local wants to race.

I don't think Sonic Boom will be racing their 9 second hatch at this event. The car might be a submarine right now.

Welcome back from Iraq.

Yes, drift eliminations will start at 3 pm after the drag finals. We've had drift qualifying sessions on the NPR road course this past summer.

YES! Let's get a full Import Quick 16. Anyone running 12s or faster should enter the Import Quick 16 heads up.
