Engine Vibrating at high frequency and loud at 110KM/HR and above
My car is a Honda Accord 2002 SE 4DR sedan.
I recently have the timing belt/balancer belt/water pump/air filter replaced. (Cost almost 1000$)
Since after the repair, the car is performing very bad.
At idling, the car make a noise that sound like (zit zit zit zit....) could this be a problem with the new belt? Also, when I press the gas pedal to about 2000RPM, I can feel the high frequency vibration from the engine passing on to the pedal and the whole front floor pan of the car. If I were to keep my feet on the pedal at above 2000RPM, my feet would feel numb after a while. This same problem of the engine vibrating at a high frequency in addition to a loud sound from the engine also occur at above 100KM/HR.
At first they told me that the belt is new and requires some time to settle. I have driven the car for more than one week with over 2000km already but the sound and the engine vibrating problems are thill there.
Does anyone have any ideas what could the problem be?
Thanks for any inputs.

It would seem that the only thing reasonable in Toronto is the cost of producing TV Programs
, but then I figured Canadian Money and the hidious exchange rate....
Something is definitely amiss. The belt runs silently. The idea that the belt has to "settle in" ranks up there with Bob & Doug McKenzie being real people ("Ho'sers")

When they did the Timing belt job, they phased the counterbalance shaft incorrectly.
The counterbalance shaft is specifically there to negate the inherant vibrations of the 4 cylinder. When phased incorrectly, it actually makes it worst.

what he said or the timing is off. When my belt was replaced my engine purred like a kitten and still does
