i need help
a few nights ago i messing around with my friends and taking my ls motor to redline and in fourth gear right before i shifted the oil light came on...later the knocking started. now the thing knocks whenever the car is not at idle. and really bad as the rpms get high.
could it be a few bent valves or rockers??
--i am thinking about throwing a b16 head on (for a ls/vtec setup) that would fix all the problems...right??

Did you check your oil level? With our cars, when the light comes on, it means two things:
1. Oil pressure/level is low.....VERY LOW. It won't come on until it's almost empty.
2. Brake fluid level is low.
What does the knocking sound like? Does it do it only in gear? When there's load on the car? What if you rev it up in neutral, do you hear it? If it's a loud knocking that gets progressively faster with your rpm's, then I'm afraid it might be a spun bearing/rod knock.
If it's very quiet (like a very fast ticking), then it may be something like bent valves, or loose valves.
Unfortunately, from your description it sounds like a spun bearing. I hope, for your sake, it isn't though.
