Default 97up headlights fade.....

yea ive noticed that the 97up honda prelude headlights seem to fade fast,ive heard that their is rubbing compound you can use to take the fade away.has anyone else heard this or does anyone know if theirs somehow to take the fade away?

do u mean when the inside of the headlights gets a bit of dis-coloration?

i've noticed this too. The headlights oxidize quickly, especially on the top portion where the sun directly hits it.

I think Mothers plasic polish or something like that is the name for headlight cleaning

A big truck fixed mine, backed right into my left headlight. Right one already had broken mounting tabs, but his insurance didn't know that so they bought me two new ones

Insurance is the best. I just got eight grand for my totalled 4th gen after being rear ended. Paid off the loan, bought the car back for 47 dollars, and now I have a fully built H22a winter beater.

Use 1500 grit sand paper (very fine) and wet sand the headlights until the yellowish discoloration is gone. Polish them up with the plastic polish and they will be good as new. I have done this twice with my Lude and it looks new every time.
Tape off the entire headlight so you don't scratch the surrounding paint.

It's actually called Plastix. I used it on my 4th Gen tinted dash panel. It worked GREAT. I heard that it does wonders on headlights too.
