Default JDM ITR gauge cluster, plug and play?

Hi there guys I was just wondering if anyone knows if the JDM itr gauge cluster is a direct plug and play unit?

Before someone tells me to search this is going into my JDM Sir-g! I've searched but all topics were about the jdm itr gauge cluster going into a USDM car not a JDM one.

My car is a 95 and the cluster is a 98 spec i believe, how do you tell the differences anyways?

Thanks

You'll need a 96 Spec

Whats the difference between the two anyways? My sir-g never came with ABS either so hopefully that makes some kind of difference.

Ok guys I just stuck the gauge cluster in my car but the seatbelt light doesnt work nor does the fuel gauge!

Not too much of a concern for the seatbelt light but the fuel gauge is a must!

Anyone know how to make it work? Would swapping the green film at the back work?

chek it out bro, switch out the green film on the back of the cluster.... start by taking all the bulbs out then take like 9-10 screws out and then the film should come out
jdm cluster+usdm cluster film= working cluster

Thats just the thing though bro, my car is a JDM one already hence its two jdm clusters. Im asking all this because the lights for stuff like seatbelt, doors open etc.. are different on the two clusters, would this mess things up just changing the film?

I dont see how changing the green film will damage anything seeing how many of us (including myself) have done it. But the dilema here is that, like you had mentioned earlier, its jdm to jdm. I say try it since changing out the film wont take long.

You have options:

1. Buy a 96 Spec ITR cluster, which has a cat icon near the CEL
2. Switch two wires on your cluster harness
3. Swap the actual gauges or swap green films onto your SiR-G cluster housing

JDM or USDM doesn't mater. The fact that the sensors wire locations in the cluster harness are different for 96 spec and 98 spec does make that difference. The temp gauge on some clusters that I've swapped out also acted up but that was simple:

All I did was swap the gauges. Thats all you need to do.

Trust BlueIntegraBoy and I, we're cluster ******.
