strut tower cad files?
hey, i was jus wondering if anyone knew where i could find cad files for strut tower mounts, i want to fabricate a couple strut bars (front and rear), and wanted to get the flanges laser cut...i could make one if i had to, but i was hoping someone has already done it and could help me out, thanks
Not going to happen, know one in there right mind is going to just hand over a cad file of there design. Try searching for home made type cad programs on google.

Those are just flanges though, there pretty much all the same.

I know, and it takes time to design those and what not.
Design your own if you want, take some cardboard, start cutting and send them to exploited racing, he will make them for you, just would have to weld them up.

i dont need to send them to exploited racing to get them done, its an easy design on cad, and i can make them all day long on our laser machine.... none of that is the problem... sure they arent that hard to design, which is the whole reason i thought i might could save myself a few hours of time if someone wanted to help me out, its not like someone giving me a flange file is going to ruin thier business or anything, its the same reason turbo flange files are given to people, just bc they have a design for a flange doesnt mean they can make a manifold thats worth a damn

Some are easy, but some are a little more fancy and what not, I have a few stored but they will be going into production soon and I can't release those or else someone could duplicate the design. Maybe someone will post something, but I doubt it.

yes i realize that some fancy custom flange or a new style flange that someone has yet to put into production might be a little more difficult for someone to let go of, all im in need of is a basic design...i dont know why you keep talking like im about to be dissappointed or something, i was planning on cad'ing it out myself anyways, i was just looking to save some time, so if i can great, if i cant no big deal either
i also find it amusing that someone would think that a flange would need to be secretive, since its kinda hard to improve on those, its not like an intake manifold or something that could actually improve performance, theres only one way to mate a strut bar to the towers for all intensive purposes, thats with holes in a piece of metal and bolts, now if it mounted to somewhere else besides the same place 100's of manufacturers use, then i might could see a need for a little bit of keeping it hush hush

Did you ever find a cad for the strut tower brace plates? Post up pics of your finished product if you did and finished making it. .
