is 13 size wheels save gas but different mph ?
i was planning to get a free set of old honda alloy wheels from a freind for free and they are 13 in size and almost look like vx or the hx. but anyway does the small wheels save gas ? and mph will be different ?
yes, you will get better MPG. what are you running now?
Im not sure how far the speedo will be off, what came with the car stock?

13s generally have taller tires..............so the actual size is about the same.........sometimes not all the times

Depends...
With a tire, are they lighter than what you have now?
What tire are you going to use on them? Is the O.D. smaller/the same/larger than what you have now? Smaller will shorten you gearing, causing you to turn more rev's per mile at the same speed/gear. Taller will go the other way.
Width of the tire will factor in on rolling resistance too...
BTW, Civic/CRX typically uses a 22.8" O.D. wheel/tire combo.

i am not really sure about those wheels bec my dad just told me that a freind of mines wanted to know if i would have these wheels. and my car have 14 inch 91 crx si wheels with an stock si motor
Wow, that seems pretty tall... A 185-75-14, if it reads true to its marking, is quite a bit taller (~24.9"). New, Si's came with 185-60-14 (~22.74").
You probably give up some acceleration, but make it back with a low engine cruising speed. You also probably have a pretty plush ride from the tall sidewalls.
Not sure if you will be able to find much of a selection in a 13" that is that tall... For a 13" to equal the O.D. of you current tire and maintain the same width, it would have to be slightly bigger than 185-80-13. (quick glance at TireRack shows two models in that size)

yeah those tires i have right now are like 5 months old and was thinking if i should take this wheels that my freind offering me ....they are 13 and may look good after i paint it with polish lip and they also have a very deep thick looking lip on there .....i would say they are almost like the rotas gt3 but made from honda back in looks like pre 1989's
It's entirely possible that those are VX wheels. If so, you can always sell them. Plenty of people want them.
You won't notice too much of a difference in mileage. There may be a slight difference, but not too much. Weight of teh wheel has more to do with it than size of the wheel, and the quality of rubber you use also affects your mileage.
If you want to save on gas mileage, get some LRR tires for those 13s. If they are VX wheels they are super light (I think like 9.75 pounds or something) and adding LRR tires to it will help you save on gas.
Oh yeah, so will staying off of the gas pedal.

alright well i wasn't planning to sell these i just like the way they look and also what at LRR tires mean ?
they are not vx wheels at all .... and also will it effect on the rpm range ? the acceleration ?
