Castrol Syntec 5w40...the european made good stuff that I get at the VW dealer I work at.

Doesn't burn a drop between oil changes.

5W30 or 10W30 Mobil1 Synthetic

A little over $25 for a box of 6 at Cosco.

I actually read in another thread that castrol syntec had better properties than mobil 1. But for an answer to your question, 10-30W syntec is what I use.

Redline 20w50 (hella expensive)... Sport Compact did some testing on the stuff, and it performed above and beyond standard dinosaur stuff as well as some synthetics (very stable)... if I can find the article I will scan it and post it. During winter months when the car is not driven I will most likely go with something a little thinner just for the twice weekly car warmup.

maybe because there is so many places on a turbo car for it to leak oil...and synthetic does leak easily

Anyways...i use mobil 1 10w30 full synthetic.

20W-50 in summer, 10W-30 in winter. Whatever is cheap. I put Mobil1 in my last turbo motor every oil change and it is just too damn expensive. Since I drive a lot I'll toss in whatever, no problems.
