i have $1000 to spend on my motor...and have no idea what mods would be the best to do to get in the 13's...here my swap.. 2000 b16 , gsr tranny, intake, full 5zigen exhaust, and a ACT 6puck clutch in a 92 DX hatch..i thought about buildin the head maybe a header l8r on...and i was also thinkin turbo but i have heard that b16's arent as good as sprayin one....advice on this would help alot...and i kno some of u r thinkin man alot of ppl ask these stupid questions but around here...we dont see much hp out of a 4cyl. mostly v8 power round here

 

First...1000 dollars most likely will not get you close to 13's N/A.

Second, by full 5zigen exhaust i assume cat back? If thats all it is, i would definetly look into a properly sized header and cat.

FI is the best way to go without putting wayyyy to much into a torqueless motor to see 13's. My opinion at least. Good luck.

yea i got a cat-back sorry for not makin it clear it was kinda late...i get on HMT.com just about everyday but dont post much...i have the hoses and everything for the turbo i just need piping, turbo, manifold and BOV..i got a johnny racecar FMIC

 

when u say hoses do u mean oil lines or the wastegate vacume line hose, by the way u also need a wastegate which u didnt include

 

well im not sure if im gonna do a t25 or a t3..depending on my funds and if i find either one cheap enough

 

Look into cams and an upgraded valvetrain. My buddy had a D16Z6 running mid-high 14s w/ a cam, intake, exhaust, and upgraded valvetrain.
