Default immobilizer system 5th gen

Ok, I've gone round and round with the Honda dealership.....and yet to find an easy solution. I've had my prelude about 4 months now, and have a unique problem. I've seemed to have narrowed it down to the immobilizer system. When getting in my car, and putting the key in the on position, the little green light with the key symbol flashes and will not start. I remove the key over and over and keep trying, eventually the light stops flashing and the car will start. Sometimes, I have no problem at all drive to work......then at lunch takes me ten minutes or more to successfuly have the light stop flashing and the car started. Ignition switch has been replaced already, tried both keys......i'm assuming it has to be the immobilizer system that is faulty. Any suggestions?? Can I disable this system by a simple wire cut, can I have it removed, or do should I just have the whole system replaced and see if my problem is solved?? Please help, this sporiadic problem is driving me nuts.

There was a recall on the ignition switch from some Preludes...Go to your nearest stealership, and they're beable to tell you if you car was one of the ones that needed the recall by running your VIN#

What do you guys think of the Imobilizer as a anti-theft device?

Should I be looking for stronger means?

Anyone ever install the Ravelco Lock? http://www.neverstolen.com

The immobilizer is good but its always a good idea to have a back up.

Yeah, the ignition switch involved in the recall for my car has already been replaced. I've already gone to Honda to check that out.
