Changing brakes on a 4th gen Lude..
So yesturday, I was changing the brakes on my car...I changed the front just fine, I pushed in the piston with a C-clamp, and it worked as it always does, then I went to do the back....wasnt to easy, I couldnt push the piston in the caliper, I tired it with the C-clamp, with a big pair of pliers, with the e-brake on/off, but didnt work...how do I get it to work? How do I move the piston on the rear calipers in?
They may be the same as the 5th Gen., if so, you are going to need a different tool for the back ones. The C-Clamp won't work....I don't remember the name of it, but if you go to Auto Zone, they should tell you
If the 4th gen is similar the the 5th gen the rear brakes have to rotate as well as be pushed in when compressing them. There's a special tool that Honda sells to do this, I'm not sure if there's a general tool that you can pick up at the local auto store. If it is I'm guessing it has to be snap-on or something.
it should work just as the front...me and my cousin change the brake pads on the rear and all you need is the c-clamp...try opening the brake fluid cap and make sure that the e-brake is off...remember there are two brake fluid caps on the engine bay...try that...i didnt have a problem with changing mine...

You can pick up the tool at the local parts store. It looks like a cube with different points on it. The tool is universal just ask the parts store when you go in. You do have to turn and push with the rear brakes!
