**Need Torque Specs** Volk Two Piece Group AV's PLEASE!!!!
i took them apart to get podwercoated, but i have no idea on how tight to make the bolts that go around the wheel to hold on the center pieces.
when i took them apart, it wasnt that tough to undo by hand(with a wrench that is)... i was able to loosen them all. right now, theyre just hand tight, but i was wondering if there is an actual spec.
thanks,
shane

thanks for the bump.
i called around and nobody seems to know. one company i asked told me volk of japan wouldnt release that info. something having to do with people taking the wheels apart themselves and liability issues.

if the wheels are still assembled, get an appropriately sized torque wrench and find out yourself. crank the wrench to 10ft/lbs and as you begin to TIGHTEN it, see if it clicks immediately. if it does click, crank it up again and see when there is a light pause before clicking.

i thought about doing this, but if the nuts/screws are siezed, i was afraid it might throw off the correct torque specs.

So what specs did you torque them to?

i have the center caps, but with the powdercoating being as thick as it was, it wouldnt fit flush without sanding down the edge of the plates... i didnt care enough to do that, and i like how it looks as is. also, i figured, not using them is security. right now, most folks arent gonna have a clue what wheels they are, but if i roll around twon with huge volk center caps, theyll get noticed quickly... not always a good thing. on top of that, the plates wouldnt clear my wheel locks.
i just did them very hand tight. i was able to loosen them all by hand, so i jus guestimated. havent had any issues yet. about a month after i put the wheels on, i went through and checked every bolt... none loose at all.
