why does a 90-91 integra have 10hp less than a 92-93?

Default why does a 90-91 integra have 10hp less than a 92-93?

my cousin has a 90 integra gs, that has stock 130 hp, and he recently found that a 92-93 integra has 140hp. they both have a b18a1 engine, why does the 92-93 integra have 10 more hp than a 90-91? please help!

A more aggressive exhaust cam profile is the difference.

Yes it is but only like 100-200 rpm i think. my step brother had a 92 teg and i had a 90. His was guit a bit quicker than mine not to mention nicer .

I believe that the 92-93 had a better exhaust and intake manifold as well as the cams bieng better.

so, theoretically, if you replaced those parts with better after market parts, you would be at the same spot in hp?

Most likely better with tuning of course

if you replaced the cams with 92+ integra cams, you would see an increase of....10hp.
