Well my 90 HF timing belt broke and I am dropping in the ZC this weekend, we put in a "JOON" flywheel however you spell it and a center force clutch. I decided I wanna actually play with this car and I would love to supercharge it. I've done the turbo route and I own a dsm so I want something simple and reliable but making some power just to roll around in. Can you use a Dseries jackson racing on a ZC or can you make one work on a ZC. Let me know if theirs any options out that that im missing.
If it has been done do you guys have any numbers on them I'd love to see how they perform.

How did they modify the d16z6 supercharger to fit? I have access to a CNC and Im thinking I can pick up a SOHC JRSC and just modify it for real cheap. Prolly get a kit for like 500$ and then modify it to work.

I dont know if Endyne still makes those either but that is 1 option, and JR has discontinued the exact line of sc's for the DOHC ZC.
But you can still find them for sale.

Wouldn't hurt to call and check on availability.

Uhhhh ...did not the Jackson Racing (that's a Laugh in itself:-) Supercharger prove to be worse than Garbage.. as in it Broke regularily and produced far less than the Brochure Babble claimed.
Buy/ use at yer own Risk Mate.

there not garbage, JR makes great SC's and yes they do put down plenty of power unmodded.
heres a dyno of a stock DOHC ZC and a dyno run with a stock DOHC ZC with JRSC.

What are you talking about?
The way I read it:
The sc ZC dyno was: 164hp 131tq
The sc A6 dyno was: 143hp 127tq
..granted they're on different dynos, so its an apples/oranges comparison.

No, no, no. Stock i.e factory showroom -
DOHC ZC - 109.80whp / 97ft-lbs
D16A6 - 110.6whp / 98.3ft-lbs
Those fractional differences make me happy, now back to the supercharger discussion.

im running a charged ZC and I was very impressed with the with the added power, there isnt much on the streets cruising that it doesnt run doors with or totaly smokes the **** out of.
im running a stock crx zc with a kamikazi header, thermal exhuast with the stock FMU it came with at 9psi with the JRSC. my buddy decided to go the turbo route and boost his at 9psi with a modded greddy kit.
just to give you an idea and prove that turbos are not all that better in the 1/4, I ran a 14.7 @ 100.56 mph with a 2.76 60 foot, the turbo zc hatch ran a 14.8 @ 101.46 with a 2.84 60 foot. we where bolth running 8-9 psi of boost. him with the stock setting and me with a bigger pully ( stock kit is 7 psi)
those runs where both with shity *** firestones and compleatly untuned, o and it was also at 6000 feet above sea level up here in colorado. sea level it would most likely run a low 14 or maybe a high 13. with some slicks and it tuned its going to hit 13's easy all day long at 6000ft.
a drop down on the street and its the exzact same untill like 4th and he pulls a lil on the top end, but no more than like a fender, the turbo definatly has more top end but down at the bottom the charger pulls hard, and in the 1/4 top end doesnt mean ****.
all in all im happy with it, a few days ago his motor blew up in a ball of flames and here i am reving it to 8 almost every day with out a single problem besides a leaking injector for the past 8 months.
ive ran a ton of boosted cars and you really do see a diffrence with the charger vs turbo route, you can REALLY tell how much more low end you have with a DSM, a drop down from 3rd and it just blows the freaking doors off em while they are trying to hit boost, then they catch up a lil and get next to me and then drop way back again when they run out of breath. this run was with a 1st gen on 26 lbs of boost

what? ive ran stock for stock aginst my buddies crx with the d16, actauly he had an intake with a k&n and i was running compleatly stock with a zc. if those numbers where right then he would of pulled me, but what really happened was that it was a freaking bloodbath.......buslengths..
actualy the best part of the charger is its sleeperness, the charger is really not that loud at all, so you can imagine how chaped they get when boosted cars get smoked and it just sounds like a NA crx without vtec, one guy almost started to kick the **** out of his car when i finnaly told him it was blown
Ok, here is what we have to show.
