Default rim sizing decision help

I have a problem. When I first bought my 93 civic hatch I had 15" rota gt3's that have a 40mm offset. Now I have Racing Sparco rims on my car right now that are 15x6.5" with a 32 offset. To put these rims on I had to raise my car a little higher so they wouldn't rub. I want to get new rims and lower my car again and I was wondering would I want to go with 15x7" so it doesn't rub anymore or would it be safe to put the 15x6.5" slipstreams because they have a 40mm offset.

Also they are in 195/50/15.
