help b18c5 into 92 integra GSR
I am looking to put jdm b18c5 in my 92 GSR. Is this engine a good choice for my platform? If there is anyone here that has tried it, could you give me a clue on what problems I may come across. thanks ..
It is a good swap for the DA Integra. Here's a link that will answer most of your questions about the swap:

It's a pretty straight foward swap. Off the top of my head the only problem I see is the B18CR is OBD-II and the 92 teg is OBD-I, but you can get a conversion harness for that.

what about the type R trans with the LSD. its coming with the engine. i hope i can us it. i was told there might be a link-edge prob. bec. of the hydraulic or cable switch or something like that.

You can use the hydraulic tranny but it's going to require a lot of fabrication. The best choice would be to reuse the short geared tranny from your GSR, it will bolt right up and be close to the gear ratios of the Type R tranny. Otherwise with a little bit of grinding to the case, you can take the ITR gears and LSD and put them in the cable tranny housing. That is how mine is set-up, but only because I didn't feel like looking for a short geared cable tranny. If you are really intent on using the hydraulic transmission, Place Racing used to make a conversion kit, but I don't think they make it anymore for our cars.
