Default GSR B18 vs ITR b18

What is the difference in the B18 found in the ITR which gives it the extra hp and torque over the B18 found in a GSR?

No they didnt, the question was:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by lude98SH &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">What is the difference in the B18 found in the ITR which gives it the extra hp and torque over the B18 found in a GSR? </TD></TR></TABLE>

...but i see what you mean...

Differences(Engine): Pistons(higher compression) / P&P head / Intake manifold / Cams / Valvesprings(higher redline) / Valves (lighter and undercut stems) / ECU / Balanced Assembly / Exhaust system (~30% better flow) / 4-1 Header (if JDM ITR) / ?...

Differences(Speed): Limited slip(LSD) / Shorter gears+FD / Clutch+Flywheel / Lighter car+wheels

In 98' the ITR had the highest piston speed of any auto engine in the world...

Quoted from Acura, "...manual assemble of each and every connecting rod for the Type R... "
