Default Z6 IN 89 CRX SI

alrighty,i am going to be putting a d16z6 in my 89 crx si. can i use the stock radiator and hose or will i have to change it to something else,if i will have to change it then i will prob just get a alluminum one.( i cant spell). is there anything else i might need to get or knw? i knw about the drivers mount how u have to cut the **** out to make it fit. anything else guys

it's all pretty str8 forawd ... just like puting in a D16a6 except for switching that 1 mount

regarding this swap, are you to order all necessary replacement hoses for the 88-91 crx ? are there any hoses that need to be custom?

The upper radiator hose can be trimmed a little, that way it isn't all squished foward.

you will need to swap the engine mounts and use the ones off your stock d16a6. The upper radiator hose is also different.. you can get a straight piece of generic hose and it will work perfectly with your stock radiator. you can even run the z6 off your stock pm6 and get a VAFC and have near stock driveability

i chose a d16z6 over a d16y8 because the y8s seem to be very prone to spinning bearings

The Z6 has a stronger oil pump...
The Z6 head isn't optimized for low-end power sacrificing top end...

Can anyone else think of something?

i choose the z6 b/c for some reason to me i just like the z6 better,i think it is abetter engine.i was kinda debating on using my a6 bottum end but i dont want to have to be out a motor for a long time so i will just use the z6. i will use a y8 intake if i dont use a skunk 2. i dont knw,haha. bad day today. but well

Actually, all you have to do is swap the upper radiator hose neck for a 88-91 version. That way, you can use all stock hoses.

You can use any other OBD-1 ECU and just chip it with P28 Maps Save some money here and there.

just make sure u replace the gasket or use gasket maker
