Default Speedo Question

lately my speedometer on my 90 accord has been acting weird... some times it works normal, sometimes its jumpin all over the place.... i have removed the cluster several times B4 with no issues.... someone told my father that it might be the speedo cable loose.. plus the engine light comes on flashing... not sure if its throwing a code or not ... ne one have ne idea's?

First thing you may want to get the code checked as it may have something to do with your vehicle speed sensor.

The speedo has no cable.
It is driven thru the engine control module (ECM) by the Vehicle Speed Sensor.
Thats why both the speedo junps, and the cel light indicates. There will be a code set.

Thnx... got the car checked out.. gonna be getting a new speed sensor...
