pre clutch install questions........(91 ls)
stage 1 exedy for my 91 ls (soon to see boost). i've been searching and reading and i need conclusive answers:
1. do i need to resurface flywheel? how do i know if it's warped now?
2. if i do resurface, is there a tool i need to hold the flywheel in place to remove the bolts?
3. is there a specific loctite i should use for reinstall of bolts? are there different grades/colors?
thanx guys for any help.

i would just resurface it . i do for every clutch job i do. it only costs like 50$. no tool needed to get the bolts out. Just buzz them out with an impact gun. ive never used loctite and ive never had a problem. just torque them. you might want to hold the crank pully bolt so the engine doesnt rotate
I just installed an exedy stage 1 clutch.
1. I took my clutch to the Acura dealership to get it resurfaced. I don't think it's mandatory but if there are burnt spots then definately do resurface it, only cost $30. I do not know how to tell if it is worped other than by eye, just ask the dealership to check when you get them to resurface it.
2. There is a tool(don't remember the name, gear holder maybe?) But I just shoved a screwdriver in the holes around the outside and it kept the flywheel from rotating while I undid the bolts. Vise versa on reinstallation.
