My car is smokin
I have this problem and i don't know what it actually is ok just the other day here i experienced a puff of smoke coming out of my exhaust. And the only time this does this unless i am sitting still at a stoplight or something or whenever i am taking off i have a 1996 accord ex. Is this the pistion rings or....... and by the way it does not do this everytime.
I would suspect valve guide seals on the intake side.
I would suggest pulling the valve cover and inspect. You may have sludge buildup which has blocked the oil returns, trapping excess oil in the head.
Under decelleration, high vacume in the intake runner can pull oil past the guide seal into the runner. Upon the next accelleration, you get that puff of oil smoke out the pipe.

Let me know what you find. If the car is well maintained, the interior surfaces of both the head and valve cover should be the color of fresh oil. I've actually seen 100,000 mile cars where those surfaces looked freshly minted; wipe off the oil and the heads' a bright aluminum. If on the other hand you find a black/brown substance caked all over everything, seek out the previous owner, he deserves a serious slap (or something). This ^%$#(@) will need to be cleaned out.
I'm thinking guides because quides normally leak under high vacume while rings usually leak under load (Like Uncle Louis"s Belchfire 500 going down the highway)

ok i checked it but i think i'm goin to let a shop do it it's too complicated i might mess something up so i just let a local mechanic look at it and go from there

The items in question are #8 in this illustration of the '96 EX head. It involves 8 intake valve seals and 8 exhaust valve seals.
It requires getting the rocker arm assemblies (and all that entails) out of the way to gain access to the top of the valves, compressed air (and the fixture required) to pressurize the cylinders, valve spring compressors, parts, fluids and adhesives,
a shop manual, magnetic retrieval tool ( for frisky valve keepers) and the patience of Jobe. And with all this I've still oversimplified.

A shop is far better equipped to tackle this, and should check the stem to guide clearence at the same time.

ok we'll i was goin to do that because when it comes to inside the engine i take it to the pros so therefore they can fix it!! I was just lookin at the h22's just incase if it was my rings but i think this is a simple set up and proboly won't cost that much. I just want this fixed because i do not like a car when it starts to smoke it makes it look bad. But anyway the h22 might come in the future or i just might boost the f22 who knows my mind changes like clockwork... So i sure do thank u for the suggestion. But i'll let u know the outcome when i get it fixed
