Default dx?

i know a dx has higher compression, would a dx block and a shaved si head (30 thou) produce more hp, than a si ?

I was wondering the same thing. You wouild definatly need MPFI, it would probably be just as quick if not quicker.

why would you need to run a d16z6 or a b18b if you go mpfi???? you dont need to run those motors.. you can run your d15 with mpfi.. in reply to your question, if you go with the milled si head w/ dx block.. you should be running a very high c/r. Risk of smacking valves and higher risk of detonation (higher octane gas will reduce the chance) go with mpfi and you should be just as quick or even quicker than the Si.. just not as reliable.

my d15 is very reliable with the mpfi it runs a 16.1 at the track but its not fast enough fo rmy likings. i have an itake thats it for mods... but very reliable ive driven it to MD and i live in NJ.. that was for a Honda-tech mett by the way. and it runs great. i have a d16y7 head for it that im putting on untill i pick up my new motor a b16 yeh thats right b16. and typer0207 will also tell u its very reliable but with a milled head it would be less reliable
