difference between H-Type and Individual Shoulder Harnesses?
Hey. What is the difference between the H-Type and Individual Shoulder harnesses? I understand that the H-Type are considerably longer than the Individual (about 80in vs 50in). I'm not sure which I would need to go in a CRX. I suppose it would be mounted to a harness bar.
Anyways, any insight would be great
Thanks,
Justin

im pretty sure the H type is what people under the FIA regulations like to use, they typically mount there harnesses much futher back then you see in the USA.
H-style harnesses have longer shoulder straps, usually adjustable 75-80" long. These are used in cars when the mounting point to the chassis is further away. Typically, if you have roll bar or cage, you would use the Individual-style harness.

Thanks for the responses.
We don't have a harness bar, and I'd sort of like to experiment to see whether it's possible to mount the harness directly to the chassis or not. I've heard of people obtaining a 45deg angle by mounting further back in the trunk. If the H-Type is adjustable, is there any reason not to get it, even if I do end up mounting it to a harness/roll bar?
Oh, and one other thing I keep forgetting. Is it just as easy to mount a 5pt as a 6pt in a CRX?
