MY launches are holding me back for hitting 12's
Last CMI i went to, i ran 13.4@106. I had the most ****-up launches 2.1,2.0,2.3 and once 1.9. I make over 215hp so i know the slick arent to big (23/8/13) I have CTR tranny w/ lsd, omni, and full race cross member. I know the mph are good enough for 12's but i just the launch. Any help thanks!!!

that should easily be a 12 second ET. The 23's are a little on the big side but your 60's suck. How much pressure was in the slicks and what RPM were you launching at?

the rims he is running he cant go lower then 7 psi cause the bead would breack.
cause when i put them on we tryed like 5 psi the bead wasnt holding. anyoen know where we can rota rb cheap ?

i dont think the problem is too much pressure...throw like 15 in there and go from there

Do you have traction problems or does the car bog off the line?
If you dont have enough power for the slicks (too much traciton) try addind some PSI in slicks. May sound stupid but less traction could help your 60'.

Damn man you're making sick *** power. K-series? B20vtec? Great power though. Drop some weight, get the mph to like 107-108 and you could probably hit 12's with only a 2.0 60'. Great power though and 4 door = sleeper.

That may be a good idea. ^^^^. IMO, Using the shortest slick possible is the best scenario. The 23's ARE much to big for your setup. Even on 22x8's you'll have to run alot of pressure in them and launch very high. I've made many 120+ mph, 11 sec. passes on 22's so, in short slicks I trust

I ran 22's with my last setup with only 200whp, 12's all day. I agree that you should try and run the smallest slick possible but the 20's will spin too much from my experience with that amount of hp.

slicks MAY be a little big.... but 20s might be too small.

ok guy sorry i havent reply back i went to track 8/24 i put the slicks psi at 6.5 and launch at 6700rpm(2.1 60ft 13.5@102.75) but i only one run and it have to w/ exhaust. i know the car can hit 12's, i just need more track time. Every time i go i cant run slick or i need to have an exhuast. Oh yeah i 13.9@103 w/street tire and with slick i ran 13.5@102.75 so i think the slick are not to big because im still going the speed just getting better launching. (oh and i do have 4.4final drive)
