removing 99 accord power mirror from housing
I just bought a used mirror at the junk yard after finding my current mirror on the floor broken (forgot 2 fold it in after parking). Is there anyway to remove the mirror from the base and use my old base for the new mirror? I couldnt figure out a way 2 get the wires out of the old piece of my mirror that was left.
any help is appreciated.

The wires shouldnt be attached to the mirror, the miror just pops out and replaces (carefully heat up the mounts before you try and pop the new one in). If you want to replae the whole thing, why not use the junkyard mirror?
i just broke mine off today at the car wash, luckily the shell is in tact, so i took apart the mirror. there is a small metal clip on the inside of the mirror that you have to pop off. and then it'll come out.
So just the mirror portion came out?
Let us know how much it ends up costing to replace just that, and where you got the mirror.
I've replaced both of my mirrors now, the entire assembly, at a cost of ~ $155 each (MSRP = $200), with myself doing the labor of course.
