Which tires to choose?
Im in seach for cheap tires for si rims.(205/50/15). and the names Kumho, Hankook and Fallken had some pretty cheap prices. at discounttires.com i was just wondering from the 3 which is the best for the buck. and any feedback is apperciated.
1. Hankook Ventus HR II 405
2. Kumho Escta 711
3. Falken Ziex ZE-512

The Kumho 711 is ok for the price point. Not sure about the other two. The Dunlop Direzza DZ101 is available in that size and is a very good performing tire at a good price point too. May be another one to consider.

Agreed, for under $59 in that size, I think (...and maybe I'm biased) that it's one of the best tires available in that segment. I had the chance to test these tires on Dunlop's track, mounted on an 05 Mustang GT. I was very impressed, they were predictable and handled very well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
Let me know if you have more questions

No offense, but none of these offers good performance. The first two tires are cheap, crappy tires (their manufacturers make some good tires, but these aren't among them) and the Ziex is an all-season tire.
You seem to be looking for the "best for the buck". I assume you define "best for the buck" as decent performance (dry and wet pavement), decent treadlife, and low purchase price.
You can get a WHOLE LOT BETTER for the buck by getting 195/50-15 tires instead of 205/50-15. The 195/50-15 is a better match for your EG Civic (which, depending on model, came with tires that were 165/70-13, 175/70-13, or 185/60-14). The outer diameter is much closer to stock than the 205/50-15, which is too big. You will also get slightly better acceleration with a smaller outer diameter. But the other really big benefit, in your case, is that 195/50-15 tires are much less expensive than 205/50-15.
For example, here are a few excellent "best for the buck" tires
Fuzion ZRi 195/50-15 195/50-15 $51
Kumho ECSTA SPT 195/50-15 $58
Yokohama AVS ES100 195/50-15 $59
Any of these will easily beat all of the tires you mentioned in performance, and the price is similar.
(Too bad the Direzza DZ101 doesn't come in 195/50-15.)

I love my Fuzion ZRis (205/55/15 on 15x7 Pro Race 1.2s). I don't like Fuzion's marketing strategy, but I'm impressed with their wet/dry performance. Other tires I was looking at were the Yokohama AVS ES100s and the Falken Ziex 512 +1 / 5^100 or whatever.
Also, like nsxtasy stated, you might want to check out the 195/50/15 size. I think they'd fit the Si rim better.

how can you be comparing fuzion ZRi to es100's? the fuzion is a piece of crap, entry level tire, very poor quality, the saying "you get what you pay for" plays huge is tires theres a reason the Fuzion is so cheap, i would advise against the Fuzion, the es100 is a great tire, and as far as i know the kumho spt is as well, but i am not familar with that tire

I've got 205/50R15 Dunlop Inferno DOT drag radials on my front Si rims right now...they fit fine. I have 195/50R15's out back. Both sizes fit the rims and the car just fine. You should be able to put either size on Si rims with no trouble.

I don't understand why you say that. Have you actually used them? They are made by Bridgestone and are decent quality. In fact, they beat the ES100 in Tire Rack testing.

The main reason tires are priced where they are is marketing, and what the manufacturers think they can sell them for. The reason the Fuzion is cheap is that Bridgestone wanted to go after the tuner/ricer crowd, who don't have a lot of money to spend but want something that looks good and performs decently.
You can make an argument that any one of these three tires (ES100, ZRi, SPT) is better than another, but the simple fact is that all three are very, very similar. Read the tests on the Tire Rack website, where they tested them against each other, side by side, on the same car (ES100 vs ZRi, and ES100 vs SPT).
