Custom charge pipes!??!
Ok heres my dillema. . . just swapped the d15b in the crx, bout to boost soon. i have a greddy d series turbo kit laying in my garage waiting to be slapped on. But heres the problem i have a jdm front end on my rex and i also have FOG LIGHTS!! Now i know those foglights is going to be problem and i could see it now they're gonna get in the way. My question is, is there anyway i can get charge pipes to run around to my intercooler w/o having to get rid of my fog lights!
THANKS

I was in the same boat, and i had to take out my foglights. My next plan is to get 90* couplers for the intercooler, and drill out huge holes through the front "crossmember" / frame to run the pipes through there. so it will resemble a backdoor style intercooler in the sense of the charge pipes.
So depending on the size of your ic, thats one route to look at.

Depending on how big your I/C you will be able to keep your Fog lights if you do the Back door I/C setup.

Here is a quick referrence for ya. See the end of the I/C...if have an I/C like this then you can use 2 90 degree couplers and cut 2 holes in your frame where the A/C lines goes thru. Here is a pic of the hole I am talking about, not the yellow circle....the hole has being enlarged

(Ignore the Turbo setup cause I saved this pic long time ago and forgot who this setup was belongs to)
I don't have a very good pic but here is what I got for my old setup.

See the Blue 90 degree coupler to the I/C...that goes thru the hole I mention on top. And then you would do the same for the other side.
Here is a pic of my old setup on my CRX.
I only use one 90 Degree coupler and so I was only able to keep one fog light. If I had used 2 then I would have being able to keep both of them. This is just to give you an idea.
Hope this helps you.

All the I/C piping was done by me and I didn't have that many bends thats #1, #2, I still have my Stock battery tray in the stock location so without a welder it would be most difficult to do it.
It was just easier for me at that time to just take one fog light out and run it thru the side of the fender.
Plus now....forget it....my new I/C does not allow me.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention...if you get an I/C from end to end about the length of those holes then you can actually put the I/C pipes on the other side making it a true back door I/C. So instead of having the In & out of the I/C on the sides you would have it on the back.

I guess cause i dont have the extra cash to fork out for one, and sometimes they look lopsided in the grill ?

Yea...i mean anything WILL work. If thats short enough you could prolly have the inlet run into engine bay through the grill area. Then run the inlet of ic over to compressor assuming u have it on passenger side.
