b16 tranny any good????
i have a stock gsr with stock gsr tranny...lately the tranny is showing signs of fatigue...its going into the early stages of grinding....so i was wondering what would a b16 tranny do for me?...shorter gears, faster acceleration.....do you think i should do this?....and how much does a b16 tranny usually cost?..
i found one for 600 bucks.....thats a **** load of money for a tranny.... and type r trannys run for 1,000 bucks... i dont have money for either of those...so i was wonderin if i can get the b16 for cheaper anywhere else???

there is a ITR tranny for sale somewhere on the site for 700.

Actually the fuel maps for most light load situations from 3500 to 4500 are almost the same. As long as you don't blip the gas pedal, you'll have a minimal negative effect on milage.

If you buy an SI tranny you may have to rebuild that once you install it and realize it's worn and crappy. I'd just put the money towards fixing your GSR tranny so you know what you're getting into.
