Default AEM 30-1000 and the 30-1040 ??

I am looking to buy an AEM EMS . I have a 92 prelude with a built H22 and a full custom turbo set up . Is the only differnce the IAB and the EGR controll ? The reason I ask is there is a 400usd price differenc between the 2 , and I would of course like to get the cheaper one .

Thanks in adavnce

The main difference is the number of coil drivers. The 30-1000 has only 2 coil drivers so if you ever wanted to go to a COP conversion it would have to be wasted spark. The 1040 has 4 coil drivers so you can go direct fire COP. I haven't noticed any HP difference between the 2. It's all just a matter of preference IMO. Let me know if you still need an EMS. I carry all the boxes.
