either way, you are going to need an intermediate shaft if you use the ZC tranny, unless you have some hybrid axels custom made. If your DX had a 4 speed, you can't use the integra shafts without changing your hubs. if you need a ZC intermediate shaft, i have one for sale on thepartstrader.com. The whole DX tranny thing with the ZC isn't as bad as people say. I ran a 14.2 at the track spraying 70 of nitrous on my ZC, then about three months later i destroyed the tranny.

Here's the deal. I have a ZC tranny with the factory LSD.
The ZC tranny case is like the US Si cases with the larger diff. carrier bearings (than the DX, HF, Std., etc.). The ZC diff. itself has a larger splined bore than anything EF in the US - even though they use the same size bearings. The US diff's just have a thicker wall splined output because inner joint splined area is smaller. Make sense?
You don't need to use the ZC int. shaft. You can get some 90-93 INtegra inner joints (be sure to get two RIGHT hand side joints!!!) and put them on your axles. Trust me, it works - I have a '91 Civic Si right hand axle with a 90-93 integra inner joint.
The 86-89 INtegra int. shaft will NOT work. THe block mounting pattern is different. I've checked this myself - not 'heard it on the net'. Just look at the sig. I've got one of everything.
Oh...DO NOT use the 86-89 integra inner joints. The inner joint bearing-housing-area is shorter than the 90-93 integra joints. I guarantee that the first time you make a sharp turn the axle shaft will come out of the inner joint. I've got some first hand experience with this too..

Yes, put them on your axles. New bands, new grease, new boots if your's are worn/torn. The inners are the easiest to change.
