which zc? single cam, single cam vtec or dual cam?

either way id go with the a6. they are worth their weight in gold. just grab some eagle rods, aris pistons, golden eagle block gaurd and boost away. dont forget a good engine management like hondata

i was thinkin tha DOHC ZC, but i like the A6, i think i might just get a new one cause the one i have has almost 175k on it, plus i would just need to get the PM6 ECU and Si tranny and a multiport swap cause the guy i got the car from never did it.

BEST D-series motor for boost would be the a6,z6, and sohc zc in that order.... twin cam zc sucks for boost...

i will have to disagree that "dohc zc's suck for boost" my friend has one in his 91 hf and that thing is a beast. with a cheap turbo setup, hks headgasket and uberdata, he was beating cars i never would have dreamed of. he beat a couple of vettes a srt4 with some upgrades and 18psi. the zc did all this on 10psi and still runs like a champion

I'd go A6 turbo. I have seen 2 ZC's personally that have lost the bottom end with no boost. Also A6 has aftermarket parts ZC no aftermarket.

Okay lets not take everything so literal. There is more aftermarket for the D16A6 than the ZC.

Thanks

True more selection, but the age out saying, anything you can get I can too, does apply here. Well, maybe it not an age old saying, but you get the gist.

wtf? obviously you guys know nothing about the zc.

1. it respons to boost extreamly well, it actualy runs smoother with boost.
2. it wont blow up if you build it, it can handle up to 200 hp before blowing up, just like an A6
2. half the parts you buy to build a ZC are the same as the a6
3. DOHC = better beathing for the cylinders, im sorry, but on the singles. ive never ran aginst a boost single that i could smoke the **** out of.
4. THERE IS NO VTEC ZC you tards, there is only a single cam and a dual cam, and you cant put a vtec head on it either cuase nothing fits unless you do some major machine work, but whats the point? vtec doenst do much of anything anyway.
5. zc all the way, why handicap yourself with a tiny motor, singles = teh suck.

but not a DOHC Vtec ZC..i'm about 2 start a DOHC ZC swap on my 89 crx si...my A6 as is rite now pulls harder then most SOHC Vtecs...and i beat the better part of half of them..and all i got it IE...they got IHE and 1 had pullys...so IMO...the A6 is a damn good engine..but the ZC is a DOHC...and u got jus a lil more room 2 wrk with....go with the ZC..u wont be mad in the end...unless u wreck it and die in a firey blaze..but hey..wut are the odds that that will happ.

A little bit of Column A and a little bit of Column B. Project homemade turbo DOHC ZC runs very well with the ihi rh5 turbo aslong as you dont run it hard and keep the smashing for when its needed. I think this set up is great. On which one to use thats up to your liking. I myself like and sohc or Zc for the reason is that there cheap you can pick these up for cheap and if something goes bad always got a backup. Thats how i see it. 7lbs on my cars feels great and its all homemade. Put it this way I pay less to go faster. Whatever floats your boat. Also another reason you can always build a d series to run gobbs of boost.
