why wont my bike start
i have a 2005 honda 600rr i just came back from vacation and took it out for a ride. when i came home and was putting it in the garage i put the kickstand down and went to put it down. apparently i didnt put it all the way down because the bike fell on its side. there is only a tiny scratch, i am slowly getting over that but now the bike wont start does anybody have an idea of what it might be?...the only thing i noticed that seemed to be different is the black tube looking thing that comes off the kickstand seems like its wrinkled if that makes any sense.
No that hose is most likely an overflow hose....
the bike will start just stand it up and leave it sit for a while, bikes don't like to fall over, give it a bit and it will start again...

no its not the overflow hose its like this black wire tube thing that looks like it connects to the kickstand. i have waited like 2 hours how long should i wait before i try to start it again?
could that little cable thing be the kickstand kill deal.... where when you put it in gear with the kickstand down it kills.....? also when you try and start it what happens.... does it do anything???
Does your bike have a kill switch on the kickstand so you cant start or run the bike in gear or take off with the stand down? Are you trying to start the bike in neutral?

Even with the stand kill switch, it should start in neutral.

you guys are right the thing i was describing was the kick stand kill switch, but im retarted and forget to check the regular kill switch. that was the problem it must have gotten pushed wen it fell. sorry for wasting a post
LOL!
It wouldnt start because you had the thumb kill-switch turned off?
**** happens. Now you feel so dumb you'll probably almost always check to make sure the thumb-kill is on and it will never be a problem again.
At least it wasnt anything major, you'd rather have it be that than a mechanical problem.

well that was an easy fix and don't feel too dumb... i sat there for a whole day messing with the thing.... couldn't figure it out and my mom of all people came out near the end of the day... looked at it.... flipped the switch and it started right up..... she hasn't let me forget it and prolly never will....
