my son's new 89 crx has jdm folding mirrors that did not work when we bougth it. I have figured out the wiring for left, right, up , and down but can't get the wiring for the folding part. I have found diagrams for 3 and 5 wire mirrors, but these have 7 wires. Anyone know what wires I need to use and where they go? Please help!

 

i belive you need a special relay for the folding part to work i see them from time to time on ebay

 

I have the relay, it has power, I just need to know how to wire them up. Mychoices are: left mirror, grey, black, blue/red, black/white wires and right side, black, black, blue/red, or black/white. I think I said in my first entry that there were 7 wires, but there are actually 8 wires.

 

OK folks, I know someone out there has done the JDM mirror conversion. I have been able to get everything working except for the mirrors to fold. They go up, down, left, and right, and will unfold, I just can't get them to fold! PLEASE will someone help? I've not been working on Honda cars long, but I have
managed to put a B16A into a 91 Civic DX Hatch, and convert it from automatic to manual transmission. I would ike to share with others what I have learned, but as another ? how do access the part of this site where others are asking questions?
