Default Transmission and suspension on DA9

Transmission:
ok well im replacing my clutch with a stage 3 CM and while the tranny is out i was thinking maybe get a LSD? i know Phantom Grip makes a conversion kit for my car and its about 260 bucks but i have a S1 trans and i guess its the USDM long geared version. I was thinking maybe get a short geared S1,Y1 or YS1 that has a LSD stock and use the LS 5th gear. Dont know how much they go for though.

Suspension:
The car will be driven on the street but will see the track too. I need to control wheel hop so i guess traction bars are what i need. Iv heard full race makes them but they are expensive, any others you might recomend? The suspension as right now is Tokiko blues with OBX sleeves, stock sway bars and a rear under chassis bar. I would like to re-do all my bushings with polyurethan pieces and would like places to buy the kit and would also like motor mount inserts or reinforced units since my front mount is completly torn and holds nothing and my others are showing signs of tearing soon, thanks for this guys and gals

first off with the tranny, the ys1 is the 92-93 gsr tranny that is the usdm short gear'ed tranny. very very very hard to find, and they did not come with an lsd. also, with your s1, it is pretty short like a ys1, so you are fine there. BUT DO NOT GET THE PHANTOM GRIP!!! they are crap, they are not true lsd's, and they have been known to snap. dont skimp out on this area, go with KAAZ or Quaife.

then with your suspension, i just ordered my full race traction bars, and i got them for 425 shipped. check out g2ic.com for deals. z10 also makes bars for da's, but i have heard that the bushings have broken on them. which is why i went with the full race ones. tein basics are an option for you, but u shouldnt have to be dealing with wheel hop with those unless you have a lot of power under the hood. hope this helps!

They made S1's in the 90-91 that were long geared. They are visually no different then the JDM B16 S1's that have short gearing. You have the long geared version. You can get quaife's from jhpusa.com for like 800+ bucks. He's right about the Phantom Grips. They are crap. Oddly enough, the OBX LSD's are pretty good and inexpensive. Two things which dont usually add up for Hondas.
Where in Raleigh are you from? I'm moving near Crabtree in like 2 weeks.
I went to meet a couple of weeks ago with SpeedAddixx or something like that. the meet is on G2ic.com. Maybe you can guess which car i am?

I would get omni power coil overs and strut bars all the way around. The Full race Traction bars are better then Z10s. go to FSMOTO.com to get a good deal on Full Race. Ask for Josh.

NO WAY!!!!! josh is the coolest... he is the one that sold me my traction bars too... great guy, and so is dan. but yeah, to me that does sound like the ls long gear, because i know that s1 and ys1 tranny's in ls's are stamped with that model number...
