Default boiling overflow

i have a civic with a gsr swap the coolant gauge read under half and the coolent boil over in overflow what could it be please help

Usually caused by a stuck thermostat. Replace it and see how that goes.

if its doing this all the time, it could be a headgasket. if the gasket went, the compression would leak from the cylinders to the coolant.
