v-tec problems

Default v-tec problems

i have an 89 crx dx swaper to a b16a i am having problems with my v-tec cracking it will work tell i hit 5k rpm in 1st gear then it wont work after that at all in any gear. i have changed my oil i have perfect oil pressure i cleaned my sylonoid and i'm getting power from my ecu. i'm out of ideals if someone could give me some info it would really help alot.

wait what?
it works up to 5K wtf only in 1st gear?
what do you use to controll your X over anything at all?

can you try rewriting to make it little easier to understand

its probably working you just cant hear it, what kind of b16 do you have? if it was from an automatic model the cams are very different you wont notice the vtec as much, the only way i can ever hear my car crack is in a tunnel

ummm wtf you have CETV? cause its working backwards? vtec shouldnt kick in till 5700 depending on which b16 you have. and what are you using to control vtec?
