Default 4th to 5th gear problems.

This has been happening for I while I just havent had the chance to post. Every once and a while when shifting from 4th to 5th it seems to go into neutral/ or miss the gear and will no go into 5th unless I shift up again. When i pull it up into gear it makes a clanking/grind(only after when it seams so miss the gear.)

This only happens when I dont pull up hard enough/halfass. Is this a common problem? Is there anything I can adjust to fix it? I would think 4-5 is the last gear to have problems.

Its called a false neutral. Most likely its your transmission but I'd try an oil change if you havent done one in a while and use some nice full synthetic if you have a wet clutch.
