Can i get better gas mileage
lighter on the throttle, full tune up, and keep trash out of yur car. keep the tires properly inflated and the car in overall good mechanical condition.
IHE is supposed to help with economy, but i still think that the jury is out on that.

there are several things that you can do to increase fuel milage without having to increase compression ratio, change trans gear ratio's or screw around with the ecm programming.
1) next time you purchase tires, select one with a hard(er) tread material and a wider footprint. This decreases your rolling resistance while improving traction.
2) Inspect brakes periodically. A draging caliper can rob you of 10%
3) Inspect air filter periodically
4) A cold air intake will improve milage (denser mixture), as long as you keep your "foot" out of it.

Biggest thing I would do is light acceleration (enough gas to shift at 3K) and limit trips to redline as this consumes a lot of gas.
Keep the car maintained, oil changes to tire pressures

Well, If it makes you feel any better; my neighbor (God bless his self centered, egotisticle soul) purchased a Hummer H2 six months ago.
It is Soooooo satisfying to hear the screams every time he buys gas. BG

Enjoy your coupe, you made a good choice.

all the advices given by the guys are very good,,,,here is a few small things u can try as well,,,,,,,put car in neutral and coast when going downhill, when coming to stops by doing so rpm will drop thus less fuel usage, minimize car load, make sure u dont carry a lot of crap in the trunk, keep windows closed especially hwy driving, use a/c only when u have to ..
You know, sometimes I'm so busy being a "Smart A.s" that I forget a really obvious item.
Body Kit.
Now, I'm not advocating running out and doing anything radical. But anything you can do to control air from going under your car will reduce drag at speed and not only effect milage, but let the car handle better. Check out the aerodynamics of either Nascar, Indy cars etc. and you will see what I mean.

yup..lowering+lip will seal air from under ur car reducing lift and drag...
does anyone know if the tornado is any good? in the ad it said it gave the new accord V6 an extra 2.5 MPG or so

Don't go so fast.
Keep your tires at maximum pressure. Don't carry crap you don't need. CAI will help a little (not worth the cash for the tiny amount of fuel you will save), but only if you can stay in control and not go crazy over the sound of WOT.
Oh..that tornado thing..uhh, I bet it doesn't really work that well.

long...
ive read lots of stuff about the tornado's and magnets..all garbage.
think the car companies would be shelling out millions in trying to get as high of gas mileage as they can when all they had to do was to slap a tornado in and they automatically get a couple more MPG? r a magnet on the fuel line?
yeah right.
and as far as a body kit... i can understand lowering your car and putting a lip on the front helps out..
but as far as a big bulky body kit..
extensive wind tunnel testing is done on cars b4 they are sold to the public. if the car comes w/a body kit from the factory or anything from the factory, you can almost guarantee it helps aerodynamically and is best thing for gas mileage (or close to it)
but when you go adding a big body kit (for example Black Widow) thats gonna screw up all that you have going for your aerodynamics big time.
not only are you adding more weight which is bad, but your adding more resistance to the front of your car..EVEN THOUGH your diverting air from going underneath, the air doesnt flow as smooth. for the most part, aftermarket body kits are kinda square..and how areodynamic is a square?
not to mention what you do to the rear of the car aerodynamically...its just the opposite than the front. in the front of the car, you WANT to keep air from going under your car. but air is going to get under there anyway obviously, so w/the rear, you WANT the air to get out.
how effective is a big piece of fiberglass or urethane rear bumper that hangs down 3-5" lower than it did stock? not very good for letting air get out. kinda like a parachute..even w/the louvers and holes in it...just there for show.
so, i have to disagree w/the body kit idea.
i mean..unless you find an aftermarket company who races accords, who might actually have fabbed up something themselves that helps and is selling it. which, i dont really know of anytyhing except lips for our cars.
i know in the mustang world where i come from, youve got SVT, Roushe, Steeda and Saleen who road race and manf. their own body kits that are actually functional.
and i know honda and toyota/nissan..they all have there own racing divisions and whatnot..but i dont think theres much goin for the accords. :S
add a lip, maybe lower it, buy some LIGHTWEIGHT wheels, the lighter the better, some hard tires (as mentioned above) keep your foot out of the gas, coast to stops..dont slow down as much for corners (keeps you from having to accelerate as much when you leave the corner),keep a good tune..fuel injector cleaner, oil change.. good spark plugs (ngk),wires, filter.
and keep yoru foot out of the pedal.
my. 02 sorry it was so long :S i get kinda wordy :S

I figure the reason you're doing this is to save money. Here are FREE things to do that don't involve body kits and exhaust systems.
1) Maintain constant tire pressure. low tire pressure kills mpg.
2) reduce weight. I lost what I assumed to be 1-2mpg because my trunk was full of things.
3) Keep your foot off the gas as much as possible. If you're going downhill, you don't need to accelerate. Coast as much as you can, don't speed too much.
4) Check your air filter, o2 sensors. These can rob you of gas mileage.
Most of all; dont drive if you dont have to.

Yeah the tornado and magnetizing things are a load of crap. My friend's gas mileage and torque went way down with the tornado. Popular Mechanic has a good article on them, one of the devices actually caught on fire!
I would suggest running some Seafoam through the oil and intake, as well as some 44k (from a dealor) through the gas. Somewhat extreme and expensive measures. For sure start with new plugs and air filter.

r u refering to things suck as top fuels power neo? i heard it adds more HP didnt hear dat it increases MPG...according to top fuel they gained 5HP from a stock K20...im not trying to defend the product if thats what it seems, im just real unfamiliar with it since it only seems to be real popular in asia(see things like it all the time in option magazines) just wunna know what u guys think and why its all bullshyt
