I got no money no job no car. Listen to this ****, I parked my car at a custom glass plant because the altinator went (private property) it took me about a week to get it towed because of finances. I called the tow truck and he told me to meet him up there, when i pulled in the lot i didn't see the car or tow truck. Workers told me he was out back, so i proceeded to drive out back and when i turned the corner, i seen my car smashed to hell and back. so far i got to the conclusion that someone that worked at the plant used a fork lift to move my car out back and then went ahead a smashed every window and light out, bent my steering wheel, ripped my carb. hood in half, stole my cds out of thier cases, stole my tools(all of them) and stole my tac. But at least they didn't touch my motor or body kit. they did $6,000 in damage. Ain't that some ****.

 

damn is it insured? you don't have AAA?

 

i would question managment at the plant if u think it would of taken a forklift to get it back there check it out to see if there are any marks from the forks

wow that sucks. at least u can buy a new shell and transplant the motor and body kit. prolly will cost you as much as a new alternator haha.

How anyone can be so stupid. **** that is horrible. I would sue that ******* company. That aint just right, even if its private property. No ******* respect at all, damn some humans can be stupid.

If you can prove that there was a few thousand in damage caused by a fork lift, a lawyer would jump on the case. Get one that won't charge unless you recieve money (since you only stand to gain, loose nothing).

Even if it was private property, they have no right destroying your stuff. At the very most, all they can do is have it towed and have you ticketed. They should also have shitloads of survelence cameras since it's a powerplant.


BTW - the dumbest thing you can do is drive a car with expensive mods on it with not even enough funds in the bank to TOW it. The seconds dumbest thing you can do is do what you did without getting permission from the power plant management. Third thing you fucked up on - even in the boonies you'll find towing places willing to tow it to their shop for safe keeping till you have funds. Sorry it happened, but I can't say its 100% their fault.

I see a lot of angry support here...and believe me I emphasize with the guys situation...but he made some very poor decisions and now there are consequences.

1. Get some kind of towing coverage. Whether its through AAA or a cellular carrier(typically $2-5/mo) and a lot of insurance companies have some kind of towing coverage. They'd rather pay $50-100 for a tow then $5000 on a claim.
2. Since towing was ruled out, a $10 tow strap and a friends car could have hauled you to a safe place or even home.
3. Leaving valuables in an abandoned/marooned/broke down car is just asking for it. Shoulda taken them with you. Especially if it was going to sit for a week.

btw, where was this place at? I'm not far from ford city, maybe like an hour. just curious.

 

private property or not they have no right to do what they did. like others state they can just have it towed off and get the police to ticket you.

im sorry to hear that happened, id get a lawyer and id sue them for all of the damages. you have the right to the damage they caused.
