t4/t04R vs t4/gt40 vs t4 t04E vs t04S 60-1
Any insight on any of these turbo's..Im looking for a new turbo but it must be a t4 flange...im basically looking for the qwikest spooling turbo thats capable of 550whp

quik spooling and t4 dont go together. besides the turbos you have listed are too varied.
a to4e will only support 480crank hp

just to clarify, the t67 is the same exact compressor as the to4R and the gt40 compressor section being used is the 56 trim 61mm wheel that is used on the gt35r and sc61.

I'd have to concur here.. You'll need to be a bit more specific in terms of the purpose of the car. All of those particular applications that you listed are extremely varied.
Ken@ PheonixTurbo gave you many of the specifications that are available for all three, the question is what WHAT your engine application is, where you want the powerband, type of power, etc. Just saying Quick spooling and T4 Flange is almost an OXYMORON. Expect to spend about a grand or so as well.

The way the collectors are cut on the t4 manifolds, it wouldn't work to just cut off the t4 flange and weld a t3 flange on. the rectangle formed by the 4 tubes comming together is the same size as the t4 flange opening. If you welded on a t3 flange there would be some overlap and the collector wouldn't operate properly.
If I were you I'd get a pt61 with a stage 5 turbine wheel. That would spool almost as fast as a sc61, but with the t4 footprint you are looking for.

Qucikest spooling turbo for 550 whp...
How about a GT35R? They're available through a few vendors (like atpturbo.com) with a T4 turbine housing. That should spool very quickly and still be capable of your power goals.

I have already talked to the guys at full-race and they are being more then helpful its just the turn around time doesnt allow me to race this year. .
I understand qwick spool and t4 dont go together, but what i want is the qwickest spooling t4 from the turbos i mentioned..I really dont know specifics w/ ar's thats why im asking for help...
my goals are to reach 450 whp but the turbo capable of making more
i'd like to see full boost no later then 5500. My engine is 81.5mm gsr
w/ money not being an factor, does this info help?

With money not being a factor sell the T4 manifold, buy a T3 manifold, and buy a T3/GT35R because none of those turbos are going to be making serious boost by 5500.
from my understanding the t04s 60-1 w/a .58exh will spool sooner than the t4/t4r or the gt40. they are much larger turbo's. the precision pt-61 is also i think in between the 60-1 and the larger t4/67's. it should spool sooner than the bigger turbo's, maybe a bit later than the 60-1 but it is rated for 680hp.

with the gt series wheel being lighter weight and having 6 not 7 blades, it will spool slightly quicker than the 60-1 with the same turbine section.

as far as affordability wise, would the t04s 60-1 be a comparable match to the t4/gt40 o-trim combo? it would support about the same hp, but at how much of a later spool? thanks.
edit: so then is what i said wrong? would the pt-61 or your t4blowzilla, spool quicker than the 60-1?

This information does help, but the expectation is not realistic due to the lack of FULL displacement (both bore & stroke) of that GS-R motor. Even the GT40R can't solve that problem that easily. We're not asking about what A/R you think you should get (that is why you're asking, right?). What we're asking is the PURPOSE of the setup. A/Rs are only the beginning of creating characteristics, not the end.
I can assist w/ what you need, and can get it available for you as well. I'll be answering your PM sometime this evening.

I have ken's .58 a/r T04/T04R on my 2 liter gsr. I'm running 11lbs and reaching full boost around 5000 rpm. I would recommend phoenixturbo.com cause ken's customer service is the best. He would go the extra mile to help his customers. I hope this helps
