GAS mileage
300 miles isn't really sufficient to judge mileage. that's one tank, and you're probably basing that figure on 1 receipt at the gas station... 300 miles divided by however many gallons you put in after the trip. but there's too many variables to trust the results of just 1 tank. not saying you didn't get 55 mpg, but i'm skeptical.
now i just took a 1300 mile trip halfway across the country, and after 5 fillups can safely say that i averaged 31 mpg, which is pretty shitty for a 2200 lb car (75 mph at 4500 rpms with aggressive cams isn't good for fuel economy).

what I am basing it on is the amount of gas it took to refill the tank as soon as I arrived.
300mi is conservative and it was only a partial tank(around half).
I am using the USDM std tranny.

My ZC is getting over 30mpg in the city now, I'm really impressed. It's doing better than my old DX motor, but god knows what was wrong with that thing.
Long live the DX tranny. It keeps your gas prices down and it even grows with you

Well, I dunno, 55 sounds resonable on mostly highway with the jdm d15b, I would think more reasonable on a 3 stage but still possible otherwise based on winds and driving habits and drafting and a lot of other crap. But you won't get 55 the whole time, too bad. I'm shooting for 60-65 eventually with my car.
